Own Your Spotlight: Inspiration for the Determined Woman

This journal originated as a gift to eleven determined women who inspired me to "own my spotlight" back in college. At that time, I was an avid writer of short stories and poetry that I primarily kept to myself. However, these ladies encouraged me to share my written gift with an audience and I am grateful that they challenged me to step outside my comfort zone.

As "Determined Women" we all need to do a self-check from time to time. On the surface, a determined woman appears to be an unstoppable force. Yet deep within, there are moments where the inner struggle of holding it all together, pushes us further to the brink of falling completely apart.

This journal is my way of encouraging women like myself to be authentically fearless and own our spotlight, even in the midst of moments of perceived weakness. I also challenge you to pay it forward and help to create a legion of authentically fearless women within your own circle.
